When the weather is hot, I always make an ice cream for my kids. I haven’t ice cream maker, so I freeze my ice cream in the freezer during the night. You can freeze an ice cream in a large container or in the ice cream molds. Kids like to eat ice cream on a sticks. This caramel ice cream recipe is very simple. If you don’t want to cook caramel syrup, use a caramel sauce.
Ingredients
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ½ cup white sugar
Directions
- 1Place the brown sugar in a small saucepan. Cook on low heat until the sugar melts. Pour the warm milk into the saucepan and stir all together. Be careful, the mixture will bubble and foam. Cook until the caramel mixture is smooth. Remove the saucepan from the heat and cool caramel mixture.
- 2Cool the heavy cream in the refrigerator. In a large bowl whisk the cream with white sugar, until the cream forms soft peaks. Mix the cream and the cool caramel mixture.
- 3Transfer the mixture into a large container for freezing. Place the container in the freezer for 6-8 hours.
