Honey glazed chicken a sweet and spicy appetizer perfect for a dinner party both as a starter or a side dish with noodles or fried rice . It was a instant hit in my house. The sticky shiny glaze is appealing to the eyes too. If you are not a person with a sweet tooth please try to decrease the honey quantity.  If you have kids at home go ahead and make it they will love it . 

If you are a busy mom you can coat the chicken ahead  and freeze it and use it when you have no time to make this from scratch. Just make sure while freezing anything you need keep in mind you dont overcrowd the items you are freezing. First place  a baking paper on a tray then arrange the chicken leaving space in between so that it doesn't stick to each other once they freeze individually then store it together in a ziplock bag.  Just thaw it 10mts before you are ready to fry . By the time the chicken is getting fried you can make your sauce ready and mix it ...enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Vinegar 2tbsp
  • Paprika pow 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic pow 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper pow 1 tsp
  • Mixed herbs 1/2tsp
  • Salt 1/2tsp
  • ' chicken cut in to strips 350gms
  • Maida 1 cup or less
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs mix with 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp paprika powder.
  • 1tsp chicken powder .
  • 2 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp of ginger
  • Red chiili flakes 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • Honey 1/2 cup or less

Directions

  • 1Mix vinegar, paprika, salt , herbs,pepper and garlic powder together add chicken strips and mix well and marinade for 30 mts
  • 2Take 3 bowls put maida in one ,eggs in the second with 2 tbsp of water in it and beat it lightly and in the third bowl add breadcrumbs with 1tsp garlic powder, 1/2 paprika powder , 1tsp chicken powder mixed together
  • 3Take each strip and 1st roll it in maida then in egg then in breadcrumbs after all the chicken is coated at this stage you can store it in a airtight container and freeze it for up to 2 weeks ..deep fry it till golden .
  • 4In a wok add 1/2 cup water toss in the garlic and ginger chopped , chilli flakes, soya sauce mix and cook for a minute when it boils add honey ..if you dont want too sweet reduce the quantity let this simmer for 5 mts keep stirring .Off the gas and add the chicken strips and coat it well ..garnish it with spring onions greens or sesame seeds. ..
