Peri bites are deep fried chillies which are stuffed with chicken filling then coated with breadcrumbs and deep fried.. people who love spicy snack for them its a treat . These chillies are easily found in Pakistani groceries.  They are not very hot if we remove thier seeds . So dont led go this snack thinking you cant handle the spicy level. 

Peri bites was introduced to me by my dear friend Afshan Sheriff couple of years back  we all  thoroughly enjoyed it and from then on she was kind enough to always make some extra for me ahead of Ramadan as it can be easily stored . May Allah bless her for her thoughtfulness . This recipe with video is totally her contribution.  Do try and give your feedback. 

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast
  • Mozzarella cheese 1cup
  • cream cheese 3tbsp
  • Nando's peri peri sauce or any chilli sauce 3tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1tsp + 1tsp
  • Green chillies big ones 20
  • Flour (maida) 1/4 cup
  • Breadcrumbs 1/4cup
  • 2 eggs
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Chilli sauce 1tsp
  • Soya sauce 1tsp

Directions

  • 1Boil Chicken breast with salt, pepper , chilli sauce and soysauce 1tsp each
    and sherred it
    Take shredded chicken add mozzarella cheese ,cream cheese ,mayonnaise ,peri sauce and black pepper powder and mix well .
    Slit each chill in one side and remove the seeds carefully then dip in cold water for 5 minutes drain the water and pat them dry. Take each chilli and fill the chicken mixture in it and seal it . Keep the flour , breadcrumbs and beaten eggs ready in 3 separate bowls
    roll the chillies in all purpose flour then dip it in the beaten egg and finally in bread crumbs. Coat it well if you want a double coat go ahead by repeating the same procedure.
  • 2At this stage you can freeze these chillies in an airtight container .
  • 3Deep fry and serve it with your favourite dip.
