I like this recipe because it's easy to prepare, healthy and fast.

This is Mediterranean dish.

Ingredients

  • Pasta :
  • 5 l water
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 500 g Durum wheat rigatoni
  • Sauce :
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 medium red onion, ( chopped )
  • 4 cloves garlic, ( chopped )
  • 1 can ( 180 g ) Tuna fillet in water
  • 1 can ( 400g ) Peeled tomatoes ( cut into cubes )
  • 5 green olives ( cut in half )
  • 1 tsp dry oregano
  • 1 tsp dry basil leaves
  • 5 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp dry chili ( powder ) if you like spicy
  • 1 tsp spanish paprika ( powder )
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp black pepper ( half ground )
  • Decoration :
  • 4-5 fresh basil leaves
  • 4-5 olives

Directions

  • Pasta :
  • 1When the water begins to boil, add salt and put rigatoni, cook 13 minutes ( need to be al dente ).
  • 2If it's cooked just drain.
  • Sauce :
  • 1Prepare all ingredients ( cut, chop )
  • 2First saute onion and 1 tsp salt on coconut oil for 3 minutes ( low flame ), Cook until the liquid released.
  • 3Add garlic, when garlic start to smell good, put tuna fillet with water, stir fry for 3 minutes ( medium flame ).
  • 4Than put tomato cubes with sauce , green olives ( half ), 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp dry oregano, 1 tsp dry basil, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp Spanish paprika and cook for 4 minutes more ( high flame ).
  • 5If the sauce is to thick just add water and salt if not enough salty .
    The sauce is ready .
  • Serving :
  • 1When the sauce is already on pasta we just add fresh basil leaves, green olive and extra virgin olive oil on the top.
