Ingredients

  • Marinade Ingredients
  • 3T Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3T Soy Sauce
  • 3T Balsamic Vinegar
  • Trinchado Ingredients
  • 4T Butter
  • 4T Olive Oil
  • 1.5kg Rump Steak, Cubed
  • 2 Medium Onions
  • 5T Maggie Chilli Sauce
  • 1T Minced Garlic
  • 4T Flour
  • 2 Cups Beef Stock
  • 1 Cup Red Wine
  • 2T Balsamic Vinegar
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 2T Sugar
  • Salt and Pepper To Taste

Directions

  • 1Marinade beef in mixture of Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and balsamic vinegar for 1 hour.
  • 2Rinse meat. In a large saucepan, heat 1T butter and 1T olive oil. Brown 1/4 of the meat well for 3 - 4 minutes. Remove cubes along with any juices. Repeat for each 1/4 batch, heating 1T butter and 1T olive oil in between each.
  • 3Reduce heat and add onions, chilli sauce and garlic. Cook until soft.
  • 4Sprinkle flour over and stir for about 2 minutes, or until thick.
  • 5Add red wine, beef stock, vinegar, sugar and bay leaves. Stir until the sauce thickens, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  • 6Add beef cubes and any accompanying juices.
  • 7Leave to simmer for 30 minutes.
  • 8Season with salt and pepper.
  • 9Serve on mash.
