- 3T Worcestershire Sauce
- 3T Soy Sauce
- 3T Balsamic Vinegar
- Trinchado Ingredients
- 4T Butter
- 4T Olive Oil
- 1.5kg Rump Steak, Cubed
- 2 Medium Onions
- 5T Maggie Chilli Sauce
- 1T Minced Garlic
- 4T Flour
- 2 Cups Beef Stock
- 1 Cup Red Wine
- 2T Balsamic Vinegar
- 3 Bay Leaves
- 2T Sugar
- Salt and Pepper To Taste
Directions
- 1Marinade beef in mixture of Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and balsamic vinegar for 1 hour.
- 2Rinse meat. In a large saucepan, heat 1T butter and 1T olive oil. Brown 1/4 of the meat well for 3 - 4 minutes. Remove cubes along with any juices. Repeat for each 1/4 batch, heating 1T butter and 1T olive oil in between each.
- 3Reduce heat and add onions, chilli sauce and garlic. Cook until soft.
- 4Sprinkle flour over and stir for about 2 minutes, or until thick.
- 5Add red wine, beef stock, vinegar, sugar and bay leaves. Stir until the sauce thickens, then simmer for 10 minutes.
- 6Add beef cubes and any accompanying juices.
- 7Leave to simmer for 30 minutes.
- 8Season with salt and pepper.
- 9Serve on mash.
