Ingredients
- 6 slices of ciabatta bread
- 1 small tin sardines
- 2 tomatoes
- Handful of fresh basil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tspn red wine vinegar
- Ground black pepper
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 tspn olive oil
Directions
- 1Heat a griddle pan. Once hot cook the slices of bread on each side for around 2 – 3 minutes.
- 2In a small bowl add the diced tomatoes. Pour in the olive oil, red wine vinegar and lemon juice. Mix in the fresh basil and a bit of black pepper.
- 3Take the bread of the pan and rub the pieces of garlic into each slice.
- 4Lay the tomato mix on top of each bread. Scatter a few flakes of sardines onto each slice of bread and then garnish with more black pepper and basil if needed.
