Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups cake flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter-flavored Crisco
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla or lemon flavor
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  • 1In a bowl cream together sugar and crisco until smooth.
  • 2Add eggs one at a time, than vanilla or lemon flavor.
  • 3In another bowl add flour, salt, baking powder .
  • 4Add flour mixture one cup at a time to the sugar and egg mixture.
  • 5Add milk , pecans mix until dough comes together.
  • 6Flour your work station. Roll dough out 1/4 thick.
  • 7Take a cookie cutter and cut out cookies.
  • 8On a cookie sheet line with parchment paper.
  • 9Place cookie about 1" apart and bake at 375 degrees for 10 -12 minutes.
  • 10Place cookies on a cooling rack.
