'Malai' means cream and 'boti' means a piece of chicken. It is the traditional bbq flavour of the asian community. Malai boti is known for its creamy, melt in the mouth texture. Its tender and delicious chicken will make you crave for more.
It is a super easy dish, you can make for your guests at a bbq party or in a frypan when your tummy is roaring for a quick tasty snack. Make them into paratha rolls or just dip them in chutney/ ketchup and endure the tender morsels of this creamy aromatic chicken.
Firstly, blanch the almonds in boiling water. Peel the almonds. In a food processor, blend all the ingredients and the almonds into a smooth paste. Marinate the chicken for atleast 3 hours preferably overnight.
You can shallow fry the chicken in a frypan or bbq on a grill. Eitherway, it tastes wonderful.
Serve hot with ketchup/ chutney or wrap in paratha rolls. Enjoy!

- 1/2 kg boneless chicken cut in cubes
- 2 green chilli
- 3 tbsp yoghurt
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp garlic crushed
- 1 tsp ginger crushed
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp corriander powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 15 almonds
Directions
- 1Blanch almonds in boiling water for 5 mins. Peel the almonds.
- 2In a food processor, add all the ingredients and almonds. Blend to a smooth paste.
- 3Add the paste to the bowl with chicken. Marinate for 3 hours or overnight.
- 4Pour 2 tbsp of oil in a fry pan. Shallow fry the chicken with the lid covered on medium heat. Don't let the chicken dry out. The chicken should be moist. Alternatively you can bbq the chicken on skewers. Serve fresh with chapatis and chutney. Enjoy!
