The Covid-19 lockdown is taking the better of me. As all our surroundings are reclaiming their bit back, looks like after past 3 months of laborious work-out at the gym along with sugar cuts, the uncertainty of the moment has crept into my system as well craving those sugars back. So, I did give in but with consolation of a wheat ingredient, a promise of less sugar and self assurance of bounce back workout. Recipe credit goes to my dear Sister-in law Dilavez from whom I learnt this keeper recipe around 10 years back. Posting the recipe was long overdue. Better late than never. Happy Quarantine binge!!
Ingredients
- Wheat flour-2 cups
- Ground sugar-1/2 cup
- Cashew
- Ghee- 1/2 cup
Directions
- 1Heat a pan, add a tbsp of ghee, toast the cashew till golden. Add wheat flour and stir till light brown toasted and aromatic.
- 2Now add the ghee and sugar. Stir till well incorporated. It will begin to look and feel like a wet sand mixture. Take off heat.
- 3Allow to cool a bit. Start making laddoos while still warm. It will harden as it cools down to room temp. Melt in mouth laddos ready!!
