These cute little crispy balls are my family's favorite snacks. They are dipped in chickpea powder and fried and eaten with different chutneys.

Kids are unable to resist the roundness and puffiness of these balls. Easy to make snack at tea time or when you have a party at home.

Firstly, boil the potatoes, peel them and mash them completely. Add salt, red chili powder, chaat masala, lemon juice, fresh coriander leaves and salt.

Mix and make small round balls. Keep in the freezer for half an hour.

In another bowl, add chickpea powder, chaat masala, salt, red chili powder and water. Whisk till it turns into a slightly thick batter. Leave for half an hour covering the bowl.

Before frying the balls, add baking powder to the batter and mix. This will make the balls puff.

Dip the balls in the batter and fry for 3 to 5 mins till the balls are evenly golden brown.

Serve hot with chutneys/ ketchup. Enjoy!
