If you ever visited Greece during the summer time, one of the things that will impress you are the fresh fruits, especially if you happen to visit a open air fruit market you will have the chance to try all kinds of summer fruits. One of the popular choices will be the little round melon, coming from the island of Crete, south Aegean sea. From Macedonia, North part of Greece come the most tasteful black cherries, of the Mediterranean are, with sharp taste and crispy body. My grand mother, a Greek origin from the black sea area, used to make a fantastic liquor with the mix of stoned black cherries, cognac, cloves cinnamon, placing this on a big bottle, exposed in the Greek sun for many months. I can never forget the fantastic taste when as a child I was allowed a little glass during the New Years festive. Now days, for the memory of that taste I have come up with a recipe that is very summary and includes two of the most popular fruits..melon - black cherries juice.
