When I was in high school, I used to visit my bestfriend's place. Her mother was a really good cook. She used to make smoked minced beef. I used to love it. After reaching home, I do tell my mum to make minced beef just like aunty does.
Now that I cook myself, this dish is made occasionally on weekends and eaten with naan.
Firstly, on medium heat saute onion and green chillis in oil. Add the whole spices: cardamom, cumin and cloves.
Mix in beef, garlic and ginger.
Blend the tomatoes into smooth paste and add into the pot.
Add corainder powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Cook on low heat for 10 minutes and pour in the blended yogurt, lemon juice and garam masala.
After cooking for another 10 mins, add the flour. The minced mixture will get glued together.
After turning off the stove. Lit a coal on foil paper and pour oil on it. Cover the pot and let the meat absorb the smoke.
Garnish with green chillis, ginger and fried onions. Serve hot with naan. Enjoy!
