Ingredients
- 133 gms white sugar
- 80% of 1 can of condensed milk
- 465gms of cream
- 240 ml milk
- 5 eggs
- 2tsp vanilla essence
Directions
- 1Heat sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Shake ans swirl occasionally to distribute sugar until it is dissolved and light brown. Lift the pan over the heat source and caramelise untill it becomes dark golden brown. Avoid stirring as that causes the sugar to crystallize. Pour this into a casserole dish..coating the bottom of the dish evenly.
- 2Blend all the rest of the ingredients together
- 3Pour it over the caramelized sugar...
Now place this dish into a larger pan and add 1 inch of hot water to the outer pan ( we are using water bath technique over here) . - 4Bake it in a preheated oven at 175 deg c for 50 mts or more untill set ..to check its done pierce a chopstick if it comes clean its done if not bake it more... untill done ...cool it completely ..then slowly demould it by loosening the sides ..and pour the syrup on top ...
