Mushrooms don't just taste nice. They also pack a nutritional punch as they are loaded with vitamins, promote a healthy immune system and boost your bone health. That's why they are considered as a superfood. And for those looking for weight loss benefits, mushrooms contain no cholesterol or gluten either. Today I am sharing a quick stir fry recipe do try it.

Ingredients

  • Button mushrooms 250gms
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Chopped garlic 2 tsp
  • Curry leaves 2 springs
  • Onions sliced 1 large
  • Crushed peppercorns 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped handfull
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 3 tbsp

Directions

  • 1Wash the mushrooms and cut them into quarters that's 4 pcs in each mushroom or simply slice them with thier stalks and set aside.
  • 2In a pan add oil when it gets heated add cumin seeds , garlic and curry leaves saute for a minute add onions saute till transparent add crushed peppercorns salt and turmeric powder saute for a minute add the mushrooms toss them well and cook for 5mts or till done as it doesn't take too long for mushrooms to cook. Check the seasoning if you want it more spicy add more pepper. In the end add the coriander leaves and give it quick toss and serve hot as a side dish.
