Jalfrezi is usually prepared by stir-frying ingredients, like meat and veggies a technique introduced to the region by Chinese cuisine. Chicken jalferzi is a very popular dish which many of you have tasted today I am introducing you to chicken jalfrezi pasta. Its a Indian version of pasta with all spices for all those who don't like the Italian version. This type of pasta can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. So do try and let me know in your feedback
Ingredients
- 300 gms chicken boneless cut in strips
- Oil 3 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste 3 tsp
- Green capcisum half cut in strips
- Yellow capsicum half cut in strips
- Orange capsicum half cut in strips
- Onions cut in cubes 1 large
- Tomato deseeded and cut in cubes
- Store bought Tomato paste 6 tbsp
- Tomato ketchup 3/4cup
- 2 tsp red chilli powder or less
- Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
- Garam masala powder 1 and 1/2 tsp
- Penne pasta 400 gms
Directions
- 1Boil the penne pasta with salt and 1 tbsp oil till cooked . Strain and keep it aside. In a wok add oil once heated add ginger garlic paste fry for a minute add chicken strips and all the dry masala powders fry well . After couple of minutes add tomato paste and then tomato ketchup add salt mix well add all the colourful capsicum and onions toss for a minute add cooked pasta. We need our veggies crunchy so dont overcook. Give it all a nice stir to coat the pasta well with the sauce. Serve immediately or else your pasta will be dry. If you want to make the pasta before hand then, only make the sauce and dont mix the pasta keep it ready . Mix only when it's time to serve.
