Very easy homemade hummus recipe. The chickpeas is soaked, cooked, than mixed with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice and some spices.

Serve the hummus with warm pita bread. Enjoy!

Homemade Houmous

Ingredients

  • 150 g Chickpeas
  • 1 Small garlic clove
  • 50 g Tahini
  • 20 ml Olive oil
  • 1 Tbspoon Salt
  • 35 ml Water
  • Lemon juice

Directions

  • 1Place the chickpeas in a large bowl filled with water. Leave it for 12 hours.
  • 2Drain the chickpeas and cook them in a large saucepan with a lot of water. Add water when necessary and add the salt almost at the end. It might take up to 6 hours until the chickpeas are very soft.
  • 3Blend the chickpeas in a food processor with all ingredients until smooth.
  • 4Refrigerate at least 1 hours before serving.
